Carol Jordan - Reflexology Consultant

Carol Jordan qualified at The Raworth Cente in Aromatherapy in 1992. 1992 that she worked as Administrator for The Association of Physical and Natural Therapists whilst building up her aromatherapy practice. In 1994 she went on to train in Therapeutic Massage, Sports Massage and Bodywork with Mario-Paul Cassar at The Massage and Bodywork Institute. Following on from that she trained in Reflexology with Francine Collin at The Natural Holistic Therapy Centre, where she also studied and passed a module in Pathology.

Carol has been involved with the APNT for almost all of the time she has been involved in Complementary Medicine, firstly as Administrator, and then as General Secretary, a member of the Aromatherapy Sub-Committee and now as Reflexology Consultant. She has recently worked on updating the syllabus for both aromatherapy and reflexology. Carol is a member of the 'Aromatherapy Council' which has been formed following aromatherapy achieving voluntary self regulation.

Currently Carol works from her home in Burstow and has recently opened a clinic at Wayside Surgery, Kings Road, Horley. She is also a tutor and examiner for Therapeutic Message at The Raworth Centre and The Massage and Bodywork Institute, and lectures on Aromatherapy and Reflexology in the workplace for Arno Consulting. She gives talks on Aromatherapy, reflexology and Magnotherapy.

In April 1998 Carol was involved in the Tandridge Council Chairman's Day for the Elderly, Disabled and Their Carers. In July 1998 Carol was further involved with Tandridge Council on their New Horizons project. This is the pilot for a 2 year scheme in conjunction with Age Concem and East Surrey Health Authority for the over 45s who are seeking to improve their self-esteem and quality of life through physical, social and educational activities and encouraging a positive interest in health.

Carol is the in-house aromatherapist for Sussex Health Care at 2 of their homes for adults with severe learning difficulties, Carol is an authorised independent distributor of Ecoflow Ltd. Magnotherapy products. Her personal website is at www.ecoforce.ik.com
